Charles Koliner, M.D.
a dedicated physician whose primary focus is administrating the highest level of quality care for over 25 years in Washington, Greene and Allegheny Counties. Dr. Koliner is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Pulmonary Disease Medicine, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, and Internal Medicine and Internal Medicine in Canada. Dr. Koliner received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, NY. He completed his internship and residency at Harlem Hospital (Columbia University Service) in New York City and at Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Quebec, Canada( Magill University. His fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine was completed at The Royal Victoria Hospital.
Dr. Koliner belongs to several professional societies, a member of the American Thoracic Society, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Sleep Medicine and the American College of Chest Physicians, as well as a Fellow of the Royal College of Medicine. Dr. Koliner acts as the Director for an array of departments including: Chief of the Medical Division at The Washington Hospital, Medical Director of the Critical Care and Respiratory Departments at the Washington Hospital, Director of TB Clinic for Washington and Greene Counties, Director for the Chronic Respiratory Program for Centerville, Clinics, Inc., Director of Lifeline Sleep Lab in Washington County, and Medical Director of Camp Huff-n-Puff, an asthma camp for children through Healthy Lungs of Pennsylvania. Dr. Koliner provides care for patients in both of our McMurray and Washington County office.
Melissa Sumney, A.C.N.P
a nurse practitioner with SWPA Pulmonary & Sleep since 2006, received her Registered Nurse Diploma from the Washington School of Nursing, and her undergraduate degree from California University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Sumney completed a Masters Degree program from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioner and Society of Critical Care Medicine. She is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a sub specialty in adult critical care. She provides care in the Washington Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
Janis Brewer, MSN, C.R.N.P
a nurse practitioner with SWPA Pulmonary & Sleep since 2003, received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Waynesburg University, obtaining cum laude honors. Ms. Brewer graduated from Wheeling Jesuit College with a Master’s of Science in Nursing, specializing in Family Practice Medicine. She is currently attending Carlow University for Doctor of Nursing. Ms. Brewer is a member of Sigma Thea Tau and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. She continues to specialize in Sleep Medicine.
Chetan Naik, M.D.
a physician with SWPA Pulmonary & Sleep since July, 2011, is our newest addition to our group. Dr. Naik received his medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Belgaum, Karnataka, India. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital, Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA and his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Naik is a member of the Association of Clinical Scientists, American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and Society of Critical Care Medicine. In addition, he holds a Masters of Science in Physiology and Neurobiology Dr. Naik provides care for patients in both of our Greene County and Washington County office.
Julia Haupt, A.C.N.P
a nurse practitioner with SWPA Pulmonary & Sleep since 2009, received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from West Virginia Wesleyan. Ms. Haupt graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Master’s of Science in Nursing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Her education focused on Cardio-Pulmonary as well as her twenty plus years caring for critically ill and cardiovascular patients at Allegheny General Hospital. She provides care for pulmonary and critical care patients in the Washington Hospital.
Charlotte Budzik, C.R.N.P
a nurse practitioner with SWPA Pulmonary & Sleep since 2003, graduated from Duquesne University with a Master’s of Science in Nursing and is a Certified Registered Nurse practitioner specializing in Family Practice. She brings many years of cardiac, general thoracic and vascular surgical nursing experience to our practice.
